Hemet is also home of the Western Science Center,
located in the southern part of the city at the intersection of Domenigoni Parkway
and Searl Parkway. It features exhibits of Ice Age mammals, including 'Max', the largest mastodon found in the
western United States, and as 'Xena' , a Columbian Mammoth. Along with the two museums, Science Center and Theater,
Hemet also has an outdoor amphitheater, the Ramona Bowl a natural amphitheater located in the southern hills of the
city.
Hemet is a part of the Riverside County area of California known for its Ramona, one
of the official outdoor plays of California. Major attractions include cultural venues, educational institutions,
splendid sight seeing and of course the Country Club golf course. Every year, Hemet CA events are hosted at the
Hemet venues.The two upcoming projects, Garrett Ranch and Valley Wide Community Sports Park promises additional fun
and recreation. The biggest schools here are Hemet High School and West Valley High School. One of the best places
to visit when you are in Hemet is the Diamond Valley Lake and the Ramona Bowl, an outdoor Amphitheater. The eight
city parks situated throughout the beautiful, lush greenery of the city provide best recreational facilities like
campgrounds, courtrooms, picnic areas, children playgrounds and even hiking trails.
